My first visit to Korea: Surprises and discoveries🇰🇷
Share
Hello, I'm Taito, a traveler who recently visited Korea for the first time.
My trip to Korea was a valuable opportunity for me to experience a new culture and environment.
In this article, I would like to share with you my observations and impressions from my trip to Korea.
11 things I noticed
1. Beautiful Korean skin
The first thing I noticed when I arrived in Korea was how beautiful the local people's skin was.
Many people have bright and clear skin, which shows the Korean dedication to skin care.
2. The large number of Japanese people
To my surprise, I saw many Japanese tourists and residents.
It is clear that Korea is a popular travel destination for Japanese people.
3. The friendliness of the staff
Most of the staff were kind and provided warm hospitality.
Despite the language barrier, they made an effort to communicate.
4. Interesting Language Phenomena
It seems that many Koreans speak Japanese more than English.
This may be due to cultural proximity and historical background.
5. The beauty of the city and Myeongdong at night
The city of Seoul is very beautiful, especially at night.
However, I got the impression that Myeongdong was a bit dirty late at night.
6. Gender ratio on the subway
I noticed that there were more female passengers than males on the subway in the morning.
This may reflect social trends and the increasing number of women in the workforce.
7. No Japanese cars
Surprisingly, I hardly saw any Japanese cars on the streets of Korea.
This likely reflects market conditions where domestically produced cars and cars from other countries are given priority.
8. Cheap water and beer
Water and beer are surprisingly cheap in Korea.
This was a very welcome discovery for tourists.
9. Meal prices
Dining prices in Seoul are roughly the same as in Tokyo, with a wide range of options available, from fine dining restaurants to casual eateries.
10. All-you-can-eat kimchi at restaurants
Many restaurants offer all-you-can-eat kimchi, and the authentic taste is exceptional. Napa cabbage kimchi in particular has a crunchy texture and is very delicious.
11. The smell of kimchi all over town
Occasionally, the smell of kimchi will waft through the air while you're walking around town, another uniquely Korean experience.
summary
As you can see, Korea is a wonderful country full of surprises and discoveries.
If you are planning a trip to Korea, I hope these points will be helpful.
And by seeing with your own eyes, hearing with your own ears, and tasting with your own mouth, you will be able to fully experience the charm of Korea.
Korea is not only beautiful, but also culturally rich.
You'll definitely fall in love with Korea! 🇰🇷
